The Story Behind Margot

Margot was born from a passion for helping others and an unconditional love for children.

Its founder, Chantale Alvaer, has worn every hat over the years. At just 12 years old, she began babysitting regularly on evenings and weekends. Back then, before the internet, Chantale would hand-draw posters with her phone number and display them in local pharmacies to be contacted by families.

Later, she became a day camp counsellor, and at 23, a mother. She then opened a home daycare, allowing her to be fully involved in her daughter’s early education.

Driven by the desire to have an even greater impact, Chantale returned to school to become a teacher — a profession she deeply loved. At the time, obtaining a permanent position was a true challenge. As a woman and mother of three, she made the leap into entrepreneurship by founding a tutoring agency that combined her two passions: education and entrepreneurship. After nine years leading her company, she decided to pass the torch.

From this transition emerged a broader project — one that reflects her values and vision: a verified community specialized in family support, committed to multiplying memorable moments and creating meaningful human connections.
That’s how Margot was born — a name that means “pearl” in Greek.
