At Margot, safety, respect, and trust are at the heart of every interaction between families and service providers. To protect our community and maintain a warm, professional, and secure environment, we apply a clear policy regarding prohibited words and unauthorized content.
This policy applies to all users, in all sections of the platform: profiles, messaging, postings, reviews, documents, exchanges with families, and communications with the Margot team.
Why does Margot enforce a strict policy? #
Because Margot is a community where we care for children, families, and the people who support them.
A misplaced word, an inappropriate term, or a reference to sensitive content can break trust, create discomfort, or compromise family safety.
Our responsibility is to create a space where:
- Families feel protected
- Service providers feel respected
- Exchanges remain professional
- Margot’s values (excellence, respect, collaboration) are lived every day

This list is enforced by our team, automated systems, and our moderation protocols.

What happens if a user uses a prohibited word? #
Margot applies a gradual but firm approach:
- Immediate removal of non-compliant content
- Written warning sent to the user
- Temporary account suspension in case of repeated behaviour
- Account closure if the behaviour persists
The goal is not to punish, but to protect the entire community.
How do I know if a term is allowed? #
If you are unsure, apply this simple rule:
A word that can harm, intimidate, sexualize, demean, endanger, or encourage breaking the law has no place on Margot.
If in doubt, you can always contact our team through support.
